What started as a drawing on Adobe Illustrator, moved quickly to a graded pattern on Lectra Modaris. Once I learned the ins-and-outs of 2D designing, I transitioned to Optitex 3D to further develop the fit and drape of my intended garment.
Optitex was a challenge to learn, especially with a fully lined garment! I really enjoyed the challenges of 3D Modeling, and appreciate the ability to prototype with zero waste.
In addition to making models of the garment, I learned about technical packages and developed a elementary package for the garment.

This is a snip of the outer shell of the jumpsuit with input grading, I decide I would use a size 8 as my base size

I had many struggle with Optitex, especially with making the 3D sewing feature work, I'm extremely pleased with how this prototype turned out, despite a few missteps.
